Apostle Jason Horton &

Pastor Diane Horton

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
Eccles. 9:10 (KJV)

Horton Ministries is a non-profit outreach ministry. It started in November 1996, when the Lord placed the desire in the hearts of Jason and Diane to reach out to the homeless on the streets of Stockton California. We handed out soup made by our next door neighbor (she was about 85 years old at that time), and served it off the back of our Pastors truck (Pastor Orvelester Strassner of Eastside COGIC). In the days to follow the Lord led us to start feeding every week. So, every Saturday we would make chicken noodle soup or chili, corn bread and cake and carry it out to the streets. We would pass out blankets, clothes, shoes and whatever else we had or was donated to the ministry. One Saturday we had a little too much chili left over and we needed to find a place to take it where there was a need. We found a place at the senior citizen apartment building nearby, that started us feeding the seniors every Wednesday. We would serve full course meals and deliver them door to door. While witnessing to the people as we delivered their food, people were healed, delivered and saved and we found there was a need for bible study. The Lord placed it in hearts to start a bible study night in the building. We had bible study every Thursday night for about a year until the Lord released us. We fed the seniors every Wednesday for 1 year and 1 month and the Lord said our work was done there. We continued to feed the homeless every Saturday rain or shine with big feasts on thanksgiving and Christmas.
The founder of Horton Ministries, Apostle Jason Horton, knew for years that he would open a church and he waited for direction from the Lord as to when and where. In January 2003 he opened House Of Grace "God's house of many colors". It began on the 3rd floor of an office building located on Weber Ave. Within a couple of months we had to tear down a wall and expand our little church. We quickly grew out of that building and in April 2005 we were blessed to move into a bigger place on Main Street where we continued to feed on the streets of Stockton as well as minister to men and woman in the shelters.
In March 2009 we started a new church at 1607 Michael Street called House of Hope where we eventually combined both churches together and continued ministering to God's people.
We believe God is pouring out His Spirit upon His people and doing a new thing for the men, women, children and families there.

We are looking forward to an even greater move of God as He showers out His love and deliverance upon His people. Calling His people out of darkness and bondage from the North, East, South and West and uniting us together as one in Him so that His kingdom will be established.

We thank God for His mighty power. We thank Him because He is always proving how Great and Powerful He is. And what we have seen, heard and know is nothing compared to what God is doing now and what is coming!  To God be all the praise, glory and honor.
